How would one describe Mugen Messatsu as far as looks are concerned? Well, it depends on how one sees him. For instance; some may say that he appears to be a model from the cover of a magazine, while others may perceive the man to be the kind of person that can't be trusted. It isn't uncommon for people to believe him to have a soft and tranquil soul based on looks alone. On that same note, it isn't rare for people to believe him to be a soul-less, calamity causing murderer. The odd thing about this is that all of these accusations are 100% correct. Mugen's looks go hand-in-hand with the somewhat cliché term "So beautiful that it's frightening." Many attribute his malevolent, yet enticing, looks to his deep blood, red hair. Red has been seen throughout the world as a color that can symbolize many things. Who could imagine that gorgeous and sweet smelling roses, that many present to their lover, shares the same pristine color as the dank and bitter blood that is spilled in wars and other skirmishes? So it is, with Mugen, that people see his rather spiky hair as the color of dank and sickening blood, while others see the passionate and gorgeous rose. In fact, many say that the rich color of Mugen's hair brings out the intensity and beauty of his dazzling emerald eyes. What could be intense about such a fine color as emerald, you ask? Well, you see, it's not the color of Mugen Messatsu's eyes that make them intense. It's the eyes themselves. If you were look into the man's eyes you would more than likely feel under pressure, as if something beyond this plane of existence were gazing right into your very core. You would feel as if you soul was penetrated, but at the same time, you would feel...released; as if the troubles of your life and the world were slowly growing dimmer and dimmer until they simply faded away into the depths. A state of Nirvana as Buddhist would call it. Of course, this is strongly dramatized. While on the subject of color, one should take notice of Mugen’s pale toned skin, which is yet another reason why the Jounin is viewed as both handsome and horrifying. The man’s sleek skin is almost as white as the snow that falls from a heavy and bleak winter sky. It’s as untouched as the skin of an infant that was just born into this world. However, like the snow that his skin previously was compared to, some see such coloration as signs of coldness and detachment; the coloration of one who has no ties to anything or anyone on this earth, thus making their heart grow cold, diseased with loneliness and pain, until the point where human life holds no value in their eyes. These features of the Ninja known as Mugen Messatsu have led many not to know whether to trust him or not. Befriend him or avoid him. Trust him or curse him. All because of his looks, the man has been either praised or damned. Mugen’s attire is the one aspect in which those who have seen him have deemed normal. Usually, one can see Mugen adorned in the standard dark green Jounin flak jacket or vest, with the standard navy blue undershirt that fits his slim figure, (Can be long or short sleeved depending on the temperature), the standard navy blue sweat pants (Can be replaced by navy blue shorts in colder conditions) and the standard open toed sandals. His dark green Hiate-ate is fashioned into a makeshift belt, as one can see it around his wait, albeit in a loose fashion. Although many Shinobi prefer to wear their own ‘every day’ clothes at all times, Mugen prefers the standard set given to all Konoha of Shinobi. It’s been heard that he feels that it is more comfortable and easier to maneuver in. What of Mugen’s other clothes? What would he wear on his nights out on the town? On such occasions, Mugen would wear a light pink button-down shirt and a pair of husky Levi jeans. However, this sort of attire is rare for Mugen and an occasion in which the need for such clothing is required is even rarer. The blood read haired Ninja has plenty of more clothes, but the light pink dress shirt and the Levis are the most commonly seen. Though he doesn’t wear them often, the man also has two pieces of jewelry that he’ll wear on very special occasions. They comprise of a small bracelet and a small silver ring that he would wear on his right hand on his index finger. Summary of Mugen’s looks: Depending on point of view, Mugen can be very handsome or bone chillingly ominous.

Personality:
Mugen is a very tough and jagged individual despite his soft looks. Sometimes it gets to the point where others think of him as overbearing and strict, and they are right to a certain degree. Whatever the circumstance; Mugen wants what is best for everyone around him, even if it's not what they want. A lot of people find this trait of his very paternal and caring while others think of it as restricting and confining. Either way, Mugen doesn't care about negative criticism or who likes or doesn't like him. It is all so trivial in his eyes. What he does care about is living to see the things he help build thrive and prosper so he can rest assured when he does close his eyes for the final time. Thanks to this paternal side, he has garnered the nickname "Dad" and is usually called that by those who are close to him, much to his chagrin. Aside from his fatherly side, the man has plenty of character, although he doesn't show it often, preferring to be the quiet type most of the time. This quiet nature of his also allows him to be an excellent listener and allows him to take in even the minutest details of a conversation and realize someone's tone of voice shift. This greatly helps him during missions as he can gather information and store it in his mind; a sort of Photographic memory, except with hearing. Another quality of Mugen is that he is very patient and not easy to anger; allowing him to calmly make decisions in battle or be patient with someone he is training. This confuses many people because he always seems to be scowling just a bit making them think that he is angry or focused 24/7 (This is due to the sharp shape of his eyebrows). Though he is generally serene and stoic, there is one thing that can turn this peaceful and quiet mountain into a raging volcano. That one thing is arrogance. At the young and tender age of eighteen, Mugen had witnessed an insurmountable number of brutal and tragic deaths. Some of the deaths he witnessed were of his enemies and some were allies, but all the ones who were burned into the very core of his memory shared one trait that was he primary cause of their downfall. It wasn't that they were weak or they didn't have sound judgment; it was because they were arrogant and too full of themselves. He held no sadness for those who died due to their own hubris, for it was their own fault. They might as well have taken their own life. So other than that, Mugen doesn't really have any other dislikes. He finds happy-go-lucky type of people sort of annoying, but he doesn't dislike them by any means. Mugen's personality is a rather uncommon one, but a good one for his line of work as a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village. However, Mugen isn’t against having a good time. When he’s around people he truly enjoys, the man loosens up a bit. Though it may not look it, Mugen is also a bit religious. He may not walk around praising the Kami every two seconds, but he does have faith. In fact, plenty of his Genjutsu are centered on the ancient deities and higher powers of legend. While Shinto may be the only religion he truly follows, he does respect a good number of others, with Buddhism and Christianity being the main two. To be honest, Mugen never really talks about religion to others unless they’re engaged in a deep and intellectual (and sometimes emotional) conversation. Why? Because he feels that religion is a touchy subject that not everyone agrees on. The subject of religion has broken bonds, ended friendships, and has even started meaningless and idiotic wars. The red haired Shinobi knows it’s not religion’s fault, but rather mans, due to their pride and belief that what they believe is the only correct belief.

Kekkei Genkai:Kagemetsuki (Shadow Eyes)
Description: The clan technique to activate their Kekkei Genkai abilities. The user performs a single, secret hand sign with one hand and after doing so can use the abilities. The Kekkei Genkai makes shadow form to surround the Shinobi’s eyes and the middle of the said eye turns a bloody red. This causes small amounts of chakra to flow throughout the entire body, causing the target to see whatever the user wishes. The clan is able to put images into the enemy’s head; these images are activated by the Kekkei Genkai. The Kekkei Genkai is designed to react to whatever Jutsu the user of it possesses. This is a Genjutsu technique that tricks the enemy into thinking what the clan wants them to think. The enemy may see through it or may not; it depends on the person’s abilities and etc. Someone who has Byakugan for example would be unaffected, because they can feel that there is only one item attacking compared to the amount the Genjutsu shows. The enemy only needs to look at them or their weapon to be put under the Genjutsu. This is considered a Secret Technique and cannot be copied by other clans.

Clan History: The Umarekawaki Clan was formed in the years before Uchiha were strong, they were one of the greatest clans of the time with their ability. But when the Uchiha were formed, the disadvantage to their clan’s ability became realized and they were forced to separate into small groups and hide from the Uchiha. They lived as normal ninja in the eyes of all but their fellow clan members; they also carried no symbol due to avoiding being found. But recently, since the demise of the Uchiha there have been more and more sightings of the Umarekawaki.

The greatest threat remaining to them is the Hyuuga. These people are the only ones they know that are able to counter the effects of the Jutsu, by using the Byakugan to sense that there is only one blade. The Umarekawaki Clan is in an attempt to begin a war with them, but many members are uninterested in doing so. Most Umarekawaki and Hyuuga members are able to get along just fine. Currently, Umarekawaki members are put into an early academy in their own clan quarters from age 4 and on. The members are taken from their parents at this age, then taught everything about the Umarekawaki Clan and briefly taught about every other known existing clan. They have been working this way for 32 years. The clan was called Umarekawaki [Rebirth] because at the time, there was only one member when it began. He came into a dying village, flames were overcoming it and screams of the villagers could be heard for miles. This man alone defeated an army of mercenaries to save the village, in doing so; he came to realize that the world was in a state of disease.

This man realized that the world was doomed, but he knew that if he could save this one village then he would be healing a huge area of the land. After the battle, he settled down and took a wife. Their children took wives and husbands and their children and their children’s children. It went on until there were over 100 Umarekawaki, by now the ability had been decreased in strength significantly. The original man himself had been of great strength, and so the remaining members were not to be messed around with. Certain members were extremely skilled with the Genjutsu, while others could barely use it at all.

Jutsu

Name: Izanami no Hame (Plight of Izanami)

Description: Hame no Izanami is a Genjutsu technique developed by Mugen Messatsu. Unlike many Genjutsu that require eye contact to initiate it, Hame no Izanami requires the foe to hear a sort of chant or phrase spoken by the user. That phrase is: "Izanagi, you swine." Upon hearing that, the foe will be instantly under the Genjutsu. At the beginning of the technique the foe will be confronted by a radiant and beautiful woman, adorned in a pink Kimono. Her beauty will be so intense that the foe will be stunned motionless by her gorgeous appearance (Even if the opponent is female or they claim they have no emotions). The woman will make her way towards the foe and as soonas she is close enough, she will cup their face with her hands and lean in for a kiss. However, as she inches towards the foe's face, her face will begin to distort greatly. Rotting flesh will fall from her bones, maggots will become visible making their way across her ravaged and decayed body, her hair will fall out in chunks and soon enough, only a rotten carcass will be left by time the foe's and the woman's mouths meet. The foe will still feel petrified, but not because of beauty, but because of the horrid transformation they witnessed moments before. After the kiss, shikome will come and bind the foe's hands behind their back and force them to bow before the now horrid looking female. She will then pull a katana out of her Kimono and seconds before she brings it down on the foe's head, "killing" them, she will say: "Izanagi, you swine. You cannot leave me." This isn't the end, however. The user would be brought back to life, somehow, only for it to happen 1,000 more times. Each time will feel more horrid than the last and soon, the foe may lose the will to live or simply lose their sanity.

Description: Haritsuke is a Genjutsu technique developed by Mugen Messatsu. Like many of his other Genjutsu, Haritsuke is phrase initiated. The phrase is: "Thou shall be foresaken." Upon hearing this, the Genjutsu will begin and the foe will find themselves to be nailed to a crucifix just as Jesus had been many years ago. Crucifixs are all that can be seen as far as the eye can see in this barren "realm". Each crucifix will hold someone dear to the foe or someone they are associated with, dead or barely alive. The enemy will then notice the user standing before them, slowly changing form. When the transformation has been completed, the user will have taken on the appearance of a thick and slithering serpent. The user (in snake form) will then make their way up to the foe's cross and slither up it until they have reached the foe's head. They will then proceede to wrap around the foe's neck and then constrict with their mighty muscles, cutting off oxygen; all the while whispering obsceneties in the foe's ear as they "die" from air depravation. Just like in most Genjutsu, the foe's real body will be affected as well. It has been common for the opposition to pass out.

Description: Toko Enkai is a Genjutsu technique developed by Mugen Messatsu. Like many of his other Genjutsu, Toko Enkai is phrase initiated. The phrase is: “Overflow, for Hades demands it.” Upon hearing that, the foe will be made to see a massive wall of water approaching them rather quickly. Even if they try and outrun it, it won’t feel as if they’re moving; like running a treadmill. The water will soon engulf them and force the foe into its deep and dark depths. Like anyone would, the foe will try to swim to the surface before they run out of oxygen and drown. However, the more they swim, the farther they will seem to get from the surface. This Genjutsu, basically, traps the foe in an endless ocean where they can never reach the top. Eventually, the user will “drown”. This next part is completely optional, but very effective. The user of this Genjutsu can also utilize the legend behind this technique and force the foe to see souls of those who have passed on swimming along with them in the body of water. The emotions of the souls (despair, anguish, sadness, and fear) will also be felt by the foe. When the foe begins to feel all happiness leave his body, this will cause the souls to be aware of him and try to take his soul with them, by pulling it out. It isn’t uncommon for people caught in this Genjutsu to pass out due to their lungs feeling flooded with water instead of air. This Jutsu is the only cross religion Genjutsu that Mugen has made.

Name: Seraphic Senritsu (Seraphic Melody)

Description: Seraphic Senritsu is a Genjutsu developed by Mugen Messatsu. Like many of his other Genjutsu, Seraphic Senritsu is phrase initiated. The phrase to initiate this Genjutsu is: “Behold the servants of God.” Upon hearing this, the foe will see sky get torn in three places. Out of each tear will come an angelic looking being with golden and white robes and with what appears to be a harp, in their hands. After all three have reached a certain position in the sky, they will reveal their majestic, but somehow intimidating, wings. However, they aren’t like the majority of angels who have only two, but rather, they have six each. Seconds later, they will begin to play their harps, creating beautiful and soothing music. That isn’t what it sounds like to the foe trapped in the Genjutsu, though. To them, it sounds like an ear splitting, yet harmonic, noise that has the potential to cause loss of hearing and even unconsciousness. This is only the first stage of the Genjutsu. If one would take notice of their wings, they would see that after every two post, a pair of their six wings will disintegrate into a shower of down. When this happens, the ear splitting noise becomes even louder and the pain the foe will fill will increase as well. To be honest, being stabbed repeatedly would actually be a reprieve from this level of pain. This is the stage that many reach their limits on and pass out from. After two more post, the second pair of wings will disappear as well, leaving one pair left. This stage has never been surpassed before, for the noise is so much louder that many lose their minds and/or hearing. Some even have committed suicide to end it. Finally, when those two wings fall away, the angels will be out of wings and turn into what appear to be fallen angels as their robes become torn and sullied and their faces no longer look angelic, but more frail and humanoid. They will soon disappear, thus ending the Genjutsu.

Name: Keibatsu no Buddha (Judgment of Buddha)

Description: Keibatsu no Buddha is a Genjutsu technique developed by Mugen Messatsu. Like many other of his Genjutsu, Keibatsu no Buddha is phrase initiated. The phrase to initiate this technique is: “Be judged by he who has been enlightened.” Upon hearing this, the foe will come face to face with a very large statue of Buddha, with their arms and legs being held by the giant’s four powerful arms (With his other two in a meditative stance). From that moment, Buddha will begin to judge the opposition to see if they have followed the teachings and guidelines of the Eight Fold Path. If they haven’t and have committed much sin, then the statue’s eyes will begin to open to reveal white eyeballs. When the eyes of the statue have been fully opened, it will rip off the limbs of the foe as punishment for their wrong doings. In short, only those who are pure and have pure intentions won’t be affected by this Genjutsu. When the technique is complete, the user’s limbs will feel as if they aren’t connected to their body, severely weakening their defenses and abilities.
